Q - What are facial fillers?
Facial fillers, also known as injectable fillers, are substances which can be injected beneath the skin to improve the appearance of wrinkles and other skin imperfections, restoring a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. There are many different types of facial fillers, including collagen, Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, and Radiesse

Q - What is collagen?
Injectable collagen is an animal protein filler that can be used on most areas of the face, including the lips. Collagen can improve the appearance of fine wrinkles, crow’s feet, and other prominent facial fold and creases around the forehead, cheeks, and chin. Allergy testing is required prior to treatment

Q - What is Restylane?
Restylane is an injectable facial filler comprised of hyaluronic acid gel, a naturally occurring substance that binds water to cells. Restylane can be used to treat a variety of creases and lines, including smile lines and nasal labial folds. Restylane may also be used to augment the lips.

Q - What is Juvederm?
Juvederm is an injectable facial filler made of hyaluronic acid gel, a naturally occurring substance that binds water to cells. Juvederm can be used for the treatment of moderate to several facial wrinkles and folds and may also be used for lip augmentation.

Q - What is Perlane?
Perlane is a thicker form of hyaluronic acid able to treat deep lines like laugh lines and sculpt facial areas like the cheek bones.

Q - What is Radiesse?
Radiesse, previously known as Radiance, is an injectable facial filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous, polysaccharide gel. CaHA is a biocompatible substance which is found in teeth and bone. Radiesse can improve the appearance of deep facial lines and folds, acne scarring, deep furrows between the brows, and facial depressions, and may also be used for lip augmentation. It has little risk of allergic reaction.

Q - Who is a good candidate for facial fillers?
Men and women who are looking to improve the appearance of facial wrinkles may be good candidates for facial fillers.

Q - What can I expect during a consultation for facial fillers?
During the consultation for facial filler treatment, your skin will be examined and your medical  history taken. After discussing your goals, a treatment plan will recommended and all details of the procedure explained including the technique, the recovery, the risks, the costs, and so on.
