5 months Postop This patient underwent a revision rhinoplasty in addition to a reconstruction of her functional airway (breathing). The previous surgery was performed more than twenty years prior. The previous surgery caused destabilization of her nasal structure which ultimately caused collapse of her nasal sidewalls and tip. This resulted in cosmetic changes as well as functional. The profile view demonstrates a classic ‘polybeak’ malformation of the nasal tip. The postoperative pictures demonstrate an anatomically normal appearing nose that functions at a high level. Keep in mind the frontal image still demonstrates significant swelling which will continue to improve over the next twelve months.
